꽃 (flower) by Ko, Eyn (Korean poet )

봄이 왔다 해도
봄이 와서 갔다 해도
욧골이나 황골 산사골에는
꽃 하나 없네
그 흔해 빠진 목련도 벚꽂도 없네
( spring has come / even spring is over/ Yon Gol, Hoyong Gol , which is name of place in speaker's hamlet, have no flowers/even a flower is no more there / magnolia and cherry blossom also is not there /)

다행이야 남새 밭에 노란 장다리꽃 있네
이 얼마나 넘치는 기쁨이냐
산 모퉁이 돌자
아 거기에 산싸리 꽃 무더기 피어 있네
그러고 보니 밭 묵은 데
눈꼽같은 냉이꽃 자욱하게 피어 있네
암 피어있네, 피어 있네

fortunately the field of Nam Se, which name of place in the hamlet, has yellow flower stalk /
it is how lucky and precious / let us going around the corner of mountain/ Oh! there is a lot of flowers which unknown name/ so little white flowers are in full densely there/blossom ! sure blossom!/

우리 산사골 꽃구경이야 이로서 족하구만
꽃도 쓸만 한건 다 뽑혀 갔네
서울로 서울로
이나라 산천에서 뽑혀갔네
Have a look over flowers , it is enough to see flowers in our San Sa Gol /
All famous flowers are selected / toward Seoul , toward Seoul/
The most beautiful flowers are uproot from our mountain , hills, and nature.


어디 꽃뿐인가
여자 뿐인가
면사무소 마당 큰 나무 몇구루
그 놈들도
88 올림픽에 어디에 뽑혀 가려고
밑둥돌려 놓았다네

flowers, ladies, and big trees , which is in the office of court in hometown/
all those are selected for the 88' the Korean Olympic/

봄이 와서 갔다 해도
허허 꽃하나 없네
텔레비전만 있네
텔레비전만 있네

spring is over
허허 no more flowers
only have TV
only have TV


( This poem written by a very famous Korean poet, Ko, Eyn. i tried translate in English it is imposible; the sense , emoution , the mood of countryside , the secne of rural in Korea. For me this poem; speaker express the idea, which is idelogy in Korean - maybe this time is from middle of 1960 to 1980 or 1990-. In the result of industral society, natural worth and beauty especially the beauty of countryside is gone. Instead of it only there is
contemporary culture, technique, technoplis , and machine. )
